Local children participate in the Peabody Museum of Natural History’s Identification Day yesterday. The event allowed both children and adults to have up-close encounters with parts of the museum’s collections not normally on display, and to bring in their own items to be examined by the museum’s staff. Objects brought in included rocks, bones, leaves, meteorites and even a few living creatures.
