Shalek prepares to hand Ward 1 seat to Plattus
Nick Shalek ’05 will soon walk away from the Aldermanic Chambers, but he said he will not lose touch with local politics.

With the end of his term as Ward 1 alderman, Nick Shalek ’05 will turn his seat on the board over to Rachel Plattus ’09, whom he advised to “listen, not talk.”

In my opinion Mr.Shalek did an excellent job for the City,Yale and his ward 1 constituents..i wonder if this reaching out to students and getting them involved
