Yalies are accustomed to receiving campus-wide e-mails — from Police Chief James Perrotti, from University President Richard Levin or from Yale College Dean Peter Salovey. But a new name in their inboxes Wednesday evening had many students scratching their heads. An e-mail addressed to “Members of the Yale Community” condemned a “disturbing series of racist, homophobic, and sexist acts [that] have occurred on campus” and quoted the University’s harassment policies.

This is a waste of time and energy. Why not cull what little wheat there is from the chaff, print a shorter paper, and use the money saved to pay for a redesign of the heinous print edition to match the Web redesign? Or assign reporters to long-term projects rather than sending them to Cross Campus for an afternoon?

I liked this...I had no idea who he was because he's basically invisible on campus. This article made me feel better once I knew nobody else had any idea who he was either.
