A while back, I asked a friend to listen to The Black Keys’ 2004 “Rubber Factory.” After a brief listen, he came back and said, “Dude, they’re just like the White Stripes.” This heretical statement started an argument between us that still hasn’t been resolved. Though the Black Keys have spent their whole career drawing comparisons to the “red and white monster,” their new album “Attack & Release” might change all that.

So I am a huge fan of both bands and for whatever reason I don't find any reason the can't co-exsist. Though similar in ways, both bands have destinct sounds appealing to similir audiences.

Well I have to say that these bands should def. be separated. Not just for confusion sake, but because TWS are so far ahead of the black keys they shouldn't be uttered in the same sentence . I believe the BK got together not but 4 years ago...let me know when they have lasted a decade like TWS.
