Sports in Brief: Brown beats m. tennis in final match, 6-1
There was no blue streak for the men’s tennis team this year.
Closing out its 2008 season, Yale (9-12, 3-4 Ivy) lost to Brown (13-14, 5-2), 6-1, yesterday afternoon on the road. Calvin Bennett ’11 came away with the team’s sole victory at No. 4 singles, winning 6-4, 6-2.
“It was fairly disappointing,” captain Rory Green ’08 said, “but the guys played as tough as they could. Everyone is pretty beat up after the season. … I think we are all ready to relax.”
