Entrepreneurship does not equate to '60s protests

To the Editor:

I was quoted on Feb. 12 in the Yale Daily News ("Yes, you can schmooze: A night in venture city") as saying that "[entrepreneurship] might be the cause to -- galvanize students and alumni the way bigger national issues" did in the past. I want to make it clear, however, that I would ridicule, not support, the notion that entrepreneurship could be such a "cause."

I would never ever want to equate entrepreneurship with a protest rally or student movement of the 1960s -- that comparison is completely loathsome to me -- and I feel horribly some readers might have gotten that impression.

I am very disappointed this wrong impression may have been given, and I just want to make sure it is cleared up.
