Fire doors to the opposite sex

I read with interest Janine Hum's article on fire doors in today's online version of the Yale Daily News ("Good fire doors make odd neighbors," 4/5). It left out an additional, substantial risk of Yale dormitory fire doors, especially those leading to a suite of the opposite sex: marriage. Just ask my wife, Angela '94, who lived through a fire door from me in Farnam Hall 11 years ago.
