Yalies stealing music are making the University pay for more bandwidth

To the Editor:
The News' View ("Slow but steady, Kazaa stays for now," 10/24) presents an unintelligent response to bandwidth limiting on the Yale network. The reason peer-to-peer clients have been bandwidth-limited is that they take up too much bandwidth, impeding academic work. This is completely unrelated to any legal troubles Kazaa might be having. Why should Yale pay for extra bandwidth so that Yalies can steal more music?
