A photo caption accompanying Tuesday's story "Harvard grades are on the rise yet again" misstated the nature of the percentage of A's at Harvard. Fifty percent of grades at Harvard are an A or A-.
Yesterday's article on the New Haven Revenue Commission incorrectly suggested that a special tax exemption applying to Yale reduces city revenues by $39 million. Most of Yale's property is nontaxable because nonprofit schools and universities are exempt from taxation under state law, not because of any special exemptions granted to the University.
