Baseball splits against Sacred Heart in final non-conference games

Coming off a sweep of Columbia on Monday night, the Yale baseball team split its games against Sacred Heart on Tuesday, falling 9-8 in the first game before coming back to win the second, 5-4.
Josh Cox ’08 paved the way in game one, scoring three runs off of four hits in four at bats. Pitcher Chris Finneran ’10 took the loss for the Bulldogs, allowing six earned runs in two innings.
In game two, catcher Ryan Lavarnway ’09 led the hitters with one run and two RBI, while Brett Rosenthal ’07 pitched four innings for the win.
