Avoiding a shutout
Avoiding a shutout
Saturday, November 17, 2007
The Bulldogs don't have a lot to salvage in The Game. Avoiding a shutout is one of the few tangible goals that the Elis have left. Although the "Harvard Beats Yale 29-29" heartbreaker of 1968 may be more memorable, the 2007 demolishing will probably go down as the worst loss in Yale football history. Everyone associated with this game - head coaches and players alike - will have to take a long hard look at their performance over the offseason. It is absolutely unexcusable for a team with this much talent to get beaten so badly at home.
