Friday’s story “Stiles gets a new master in Pitti ’91” incorrectly reported that Stephen Pitti will no longer direct the Ethnicity, Race and Migration major when he becomes master of Ezra Stiles College. In fact, he does expect to continue in that role.
Friday’s article “Chamber of Commerce proposes petition in support of Tweed” contains several errors. First, Michael Morand ’87 DIV ’93, associate vice president for New Haven and State Affairs, was misquoted as saying, “A better Tweed means more jobs and more taxes on New Haven.” He actually said the airport expansion means more jobs and taxes for East Haven. In addition, the story incorrectly reported that Morand drafted a petition signed to demonstrate general support for Tweed. In fact, there is no petition, although people signed cards expressing support. The News sincerely regrets these errors.
