Briefly: Yale Workplace Survey deadline extended because of break

Yale’s 2008 Workplace Survey, its second ever, will be open a little bit longer. University administrators are extending the deadline for when workers can submit responses to Dec. 8 — one week later. They say they are extending the deadline because the Thanksgiving break has not given workers ample time to respond. Vice President for Human Resources Michael Peel said the current response rate for the survey is about 50 percent, far below the 75 percent benchmark administrators are shooting for but on par with the response rate of the first workplace survey in 2005.
