In a theater review published in Friday’s scene, “Talented Yale Thespians Mispronounce Godot,” the author wrote that the pronunciation of Godot as “GAW-doh” was wrong. But in fact, this was the pronunciation intended by the playwright. The common North American pronunciation, “guh-DOH,” is actually incorrect.
The News sincerely regrets this error.
