Updated 8:45 a.m. As the News earlier reported, a story posted to WTNH's Web site Monday night said a "Yale student" had been stabbed in a Hamden robbery at 6 p.m. yesterday — except the "student," it turns out, is not a member of the larger University community.
In a Tuesday morning e-mail, Office of Public Affairs Director Helaine Klasky said reports that the victim is a Yale University student are "not accurate." She said University Deputy Secretary Martha Highsmith and YPD officer Lt. Ronnell Higgins have informed her that he was actually a 17-year-old high-school student.
