The story “Alaskan Elis react to Palin’s candidacy” mistakenly attributed a comment to Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee. The statement, “I can see Russia from my house,” was made by comedian Tina Fey, impersonating Palin, on an episode of Saturday Night Live. Palin’s actual comment to ABC News was, “You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska.”
