Scully says return to Yale is 'possibility'

In a phone interview this evening, Sterling Professor Emeritus Vincent Scully ’40 GRD ’49 ignited hopes that he may once again take the lectern to teach his famed course, “Introduction to the History of Art: Prehistory to Renaissance.”

“I wouldn’t have said it a possibility a few months ago,” Scully said of his potential return. “But now I think it’s a possibility – there’s certainly a hope.”

On his time away from Yale, Scully emphatically added, “It's been hell. I miss [teaching] – I miss it very much.”
