Prosecutors block release of autopsy results

The state's chief medical examiner announced Tuesday that he is withholding the autopsy report for Annie Le GRD '13 at the request of prosecutors.

On Monday, when Chief Medical Examiner Dr. H. Wayne Carver II declared Le's death a homicide, he said that her cause of death would be released at 3 p.m. today. But in a statement released this afternoon, Carver said that officials in the state's attorney's office asked for a further delay "to facilitate the investigation." He did not comment on when the autopsy report would actually be released.
