Ten years of Yale Daily News photography

The first decade of the 2000s was an era of rapid transformation in every sphere of the tech world, and the Yale Daily News photography desk was not immune: in the past 10 years, the News shifted to all-digital photography.

But while the mode of photo-taking might have changed, photojournalism played just as important a role as ever in documenting the big stories of the day.

We've compiled two slide shows containing some of the best and most relevant photographs from yaledailynews.com in the past decade. Watch, and enjoy.

When I started in 2001 there were still chemicals for developing black and white film in the basement but I don't think I ever used them. For color film, we walked to Walgreens and scanned the negatives with a first generation Nikon scanner. By the beginning of my sophomore year, everything was digital.

Nice slideshows, keep up the good work.
