"Boomsday," a novel by Christopher Buckley '75, 2009's Class Day speaker, is set to be made into a movie.
Buckley (who was the subject of a recent Yale Daily News Magazine Q&A) is no stranger to the big screen. His novel "Thank You For Smoking" was made into a 2005 film directed by Jason Reitman. "Boomsday" is set to be directed by Tom Vaughan, whose films include "Extraordinary Measures" and the Ashton Kutcher film "What Happened in Vegas."
