DeStefano: Crime, education priorities

For New Haven Mayor John DeStefano Jr., violence reduction and education continue to be the city’s highest priorities.

Echoing the concerns and priorities he has laid out in previous public forums this year, DeStefano highlighted the need to focus on crime reduction, schools and securing state funding at his fourth and final community budget meeting Thursday evening at Nathan Hale School. it seems every time these kids get a step up and improve their grades you end up with shootings.If they question any sort of municipal job they are given something else to think about,like just stay alive and don't ask about the hiring process or your future
