What isn't mentioned here is the fact that in Connecticut, if you somehow haven't registered by now, you will be allowed to vote on what is known as a Presidential Ballot - you may only cast a vote for President/Vice President. For instance, you are a student in Connecticut and although you are you registered in another state, you forgot to send for an absentee and haven't voted. All is not lost. With proper ID showing your Connecticut address (for Yale students you will have to get a letter from your Registrar stating your street address, not your ID that shows a PO Box!) then you can vote at your local City Hall (165 Church Street for New Haven residents) from 6am - 8pm.
