Board unanimously passes city budget

The Board of Aldermen approved Mayor John DeStefano Jr.'s $464 million budget for the 2009-’10 fiscal year in a unanimous vote Tuesday night.

The new budget, which puts a freeze on last year's mill rate and property revaluation, will ensure that no New Haven resident pays higher property taxes this year than they did last year - a boon for many struggling amid the current financial crisis, DeStefano said in a Tuesday statement.

Still buying votes by funding these Street nitpickers,still funding the carnival called Market New Haven and the outrageous payrolls - just turned the Coluseum inside out is all they did,still have the jugglers and clowns, still roam the wild animals and still a patronage pit.
Still funding these community management meetings and these sickening loans for stores that the owners are self proclaimed millionaires, i doubt any one of them ever paid back a cent , and if any were grants then the residing community leaders should be incarcerated
