Experts disagree over lawsuit's chances in court
The lawsuit filed Wednesday by the 10 immigrants marks a major turning point in a two-year-old saga that shook the city and the nation. But how it will all turn out is still anyone’s guess.
Six experts interviewed expressed divided opinions over the federal lawsuit filed Wednesday, which claims that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents of various ranks violated the Fourth, Fifth and 10th amendments by arresting 29 people in New Haven on June 6, 2007.
“I think they have a good [case] from the perspective of something you want to feel good about fighting for justice,”...
People outside of the Yale Law School are probably unaware of this. And I'm sure most wouldn't consider a lawsuit filed on behalf of 10 illegal immigrants who are here BECAUSE they broke federal law "earth shattering". Most are probably more aware of New Haven ignoring the law of the land and designating itself a sanctuary city. And at the same time New Haven and these illegals belly up to the taxpayer bar and order one of everything. Yeah, Yale Law School has loads of crdibility with the normal public.
Perhaps for the Spring Semester Yale Law School can sue the Obama Adminsistration's challanging their use of Czars to break the constitutions checks and balances. Perhaps if their are any Constitutionalists left at that school.
"Shook the nation"? Huh? People outside of the state of Connecticut probably don't even know about this.
That said, it's said when people who are in the legal profession continue to support invaders from other countries. They are NOT immigrants. They have crossed an international boundary without permission. That's an invader.
They are here abusing the benevolence of this great country and many still see that as some sort of noble enterprise. It saddens me that so many people are willing to spit in the face of all the legal immigrants that came here the right way. Their patience and hard work getting to the U.S. legally is laughed at and spit upon by the enablers of the illegal invaders.
