Mayor visits, stays mum on future
DeStefano discusses town-gown relations, politics and education with Yale College Democrats
“Mayor DeStefano is serving his seventh term,” Benjamin Shaffer ’09 began, introducing the mayor to a freshman-heavy gathering of some three dozen Yale College Democrats.
“Eighth term,” DeStefano corrected.
“Eighth term,” Shaffer began again.
“And unindicted,” cracked DeStefano.

Good idea Trnrw70,Previous Mayors have worked out deals with Yale,this Mayor has done so also,he will put a heavy price tag on the possibility.
It does not appear to be that the Students or Yale in general were prepared for this visit,i'm sure they could have presented the Mayor with more challenging questions,alas
This guy should let Yale close off High St. It would make yale a much nicer place, and safer for all.
Yale would be sooooooo much better if Elm St could be closed down, but that is probably asking too much. Closing High St on old campus should be very doable.
