The Yale Corporation last weekend looked to the future, trying to anticipate just how far-reaching the effects of the current economic recession will be.

The Corporation should look towards increasing security. As unemployment levels within the surrounding community continues to skyrocket, and hope fades, incentives for area residents to participate in criminal activity will rise. This "recession" (already more like a depression, if you look at actual unemployment rather than the labor department figures) is going to be long and deep.
