Mory’s halts renovation
Just as Mory’s seemed to be moving forward, progress to reopen the famed Yale institution abruptly ground to a halt this summer.
Despite taking some steps toward reopening, renovations are currently on hold until the organization can raise enough money to pay the contractors to continue work. While Mory’s has raised over $600,000, Mory’s Board of Governors President Christopher Getman ’64 said the club needs another six-figure donation to proceed with the renovations.
“The contributions keep coming in but not like the way we need them to to get back to work,” Getman...
Getman,
Get your head out of your butt. Why in the world would you have a $15 membership fee with a $10 credit? Why not just give free membership for anyone affiliated with Yale. Isn't that simpler?
I have never seen such inept people in my life and they are all Yale graduates, faculty or students. Your supposed to be some of the smartest people in the world and you cannot get a restaurant that is on the Yale campus open and operating at a profit.
Maybe this should be a case study for the Harvard business school. Now I know why Harvard makes fun of Yalies. Lot's of smarts but no common sense. A blindfolded dog could get this business up and going.
Getman, step down from your position at Mory's and let someone with some else take charge. You have proven to be incompetent.
