Calhoun renovation draws raves

After a 15-month renovation, Calhoun College has finally emerged from its scaffolding. Staff reporter RACHEL WANG takes a tour.

So the elm tree was healthy, but they cut it down to expand the basement?

Yeah, they dug out the entire courtyard and even landscaped it differently so it seems a little bigger.

Unfortunately the elm tree was extremely diseased and unstable. It became unsafe to allow the tree to remain.
