Livni talk meets no protest
Last April, when a retired Israeli Air Force general was scheduled to speak at the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale, protestors forced the talk to be moved off campus. But when Tzipi Livni, the current Israeli opposition leader, spoke at the Yale Law School on Thursday, the streets were remarkably quiet.
In a lecture sponsored by the Chubb Fellowship, Livni spoke of her vision for an independent and democratic Palestinian state co-existing alongside Israel. Livni, the current head of the centrist Kadima Party, told the packed audience of students, faculty and members of...
Propaganda ? How's that? The opposition leader of the only country in the region that actually hosts a multiethnic population in a democratic state (Syria, Lebanon, Egypt all Judenrein)makes a case for a two state solution and that's propaganda?
Local Yokel, were you not paying attention during the weeks of the illegal and Gaza invasion at the beginning of the year? She lost all credibility at that time, standing up for and attempting to defend the most outrageous and immoral crimes against humanity. 1,387 Palestinians including 250 children and over 700 civilians were killed. 13 Israelis were killed. An Independent UN commission has found that Crimes against Humanity may have been committed yet it is unlikely that no one will be punished. I hold Livni largely responsible, being the Foreign Minister at the time and she did quite a job as a propogandist.
The most outrageous and immoral crimes ?Just curious how citizens of Connecticut would react if even one bomb a month detonated within its borders let alone years of continuous rocket attacks from Gaza with only one purpose-terrorize and kill civilians. Engage in state building after Israel withdrew from Gaza? Why bother when your true agenda is destruction of Israel and the imposition of fundamentalist Islamic rule with the its implications for free thought and women's rights. Any word on Hamas' platform for the free excercise of religion by Jews and Christians? I suppose they will be as progressive as...let's say Saudi Arabia. The double standard is nauseating.
If one bomb a month detonated in Connecticut?
Hmm. Just wonder how citizens of Connecticut would react if New Yorkers started knocking on our doors, forcing us out, living in our old homes, and then locking those of us who remain in a ghetto where we have to apply for passes to go from Prospect Hill to the Green; to be strip searched at random check points; to bomb us randomly every few weeks to keep us on our toes; and where the New York Police Department randomly raids our Connecticut ghetto houses in the middle of the night, takes small children to jail and then returns them randomly a few weeks later, or shoots innocent protestors in the head.
I wonder how citizens of Connecticut would react if they were Palestinians.
propaganda speeches are an insult to american learning institutions,H arvard would have run her out of town on a rail
