Due to an editing error, the story “In Ward 1 race, candidates play the name game” was unclear about the usual timing of endorsements in Ward 1 races. Traditionally, city officials and Yale groups do not announce endorsements until after the Democratic primary, held in September. Because a Democratic endorsement vote will for the first time be held in April this year, there is no tradition of endorsements centering around this date.
