This month’s announcement of Yale’s increase in financial aid to undergraduate students underscored the need to open the university to students from all economic backgrounds. You should read the board editorial in today's Stanford Daily citing the reasons why Stanford should offer its students free tuition. You don't really realize just how big these endowment funds are of the 30 largest endowment funds in the United States until you do the math and the comparative analysis.
