Thomas Holahan ’63, a New Haven citizen active in local politics and a former East Rock alderman, died Aug. 18 at the age of 66. Until he became ill, Holahan — a former high school science teacher — planned to challenge Mayor John DeStefano in this fall’s mayoral election. His former colleagues on the Board of Aldermen honored his memory at their Tuesday meeting.
