Max and Simone have serious beef
“So, do you want to try out Temple Grill tonight?”
“Can’t we get some Thai food instead? You know I don’t like red meat.”
“Fine. It’s not like you eat anything besides salad anyway.”
“That’s just due to a lack of alternatives in the dining hall! Can’t we get sushi?”
“No! I’m really hungry!”
“You know what? Why don’t you just go out with one of the guys. I’ll eat alone in the dining hall.”
Pause.
“Hmm … Okay, we’ll go to Thai Taste.”
Yes, men always give in. How can you persuade a militant red meat-hater to go to a place with “grill” in its name?
Better than most reviews. Review a more romantic place next time. I'm looking for one.Keep them coming.
This seems more a narrative of your interaction as a couple than it is a review. For example, I learned that Simone doesn't like meat. But I still don't know what the quality of the meat is like. Also, you could universalize your column by not focusing solely on the romantic angle, but also addressing each restaurant in terms of its ambiance as it would relate to a group of friends, as well as the quality and price ranges of the food. And what's wrong with food arriving too quickly? What if I'm hungry?!! If the food didn't arrive for an hour, sure, you would have an hour to chatting up your date, but you couldn't possibly wait that long for your order.
And it'd be nice if you not only describe the flavors and appearance of the food, but also the content of the menu. Next time do a steakhouse. i'm looking for a good one. Yo simone.I have serious beef with you not liking beef. what gives?
I love this idea!
The review gives a good insight into the restaurant and your relationship as a couple makes it fun to read.
Keep them coming!
I like the idea of this article. Well written, funny and informative. Good job!
