Despite the fact that Toad’s Place is barely a minute’s walk from the gates of Old Campus, the club/venue/cesspool is a culture unto itself. I’ve seen a solid variety of venues in my concert-going history — from sport stadiums to rock clubs to basements — but never have I experienced the bizarre pastiche that is Toad’s. The architect must have designed a few roller rinks and chain Mexican restaurants prior to plopping this awkward structure in New Haven.
Waiting in line to be patted down before entrance, I started to develop a sense of the crowd’s demographics. The immediate cue would...

hmmmmmmm....how many shows of Meth and Red have you been too? How many Wu-Tang shows have you been to? Seems like not that many.........They pack a house, that is proof enough they won't be a "roach" soon. Pretty cliche with all the smoking references...you seem clever so you should have seen how MIddle age white america it was to keep running with those types of references.

Method Man and Redman collectively starred in a movie called "How High," created a mixtape called "Still Blazin," an album called "4/21, The Day After," and went on a tour called "Still High." Yeah, Will, way to reinforce the hegemony. Good point, Matt!
