The two-week season within the season concludes with Harvard’s highly anticipated visit to the Yale Bowl for The Game next weekend, but begins this weekend with Yale’s away contest against the Bulldogs’ other archrival, Princeton.

Senior captain Sophia Merrifield ’10 wanted to go out on a high note. And the women’s soccer team made that happen Saturday, edging Brown (5–9–1, 2–5 Ivy) 1–0 to win Yale’s final Ivy competition of the season on Senior Night at Reese Stadium.

Volleyball
VOLLEYBALL | Elis’ final home games
The 2009 Yale women’s volleyball season nears its finish as the Bulldogs play their two final home games of the season this coming weekend. The Elis (18–4, 8–3 Ivy) will host Columbia (11–14, 2–10) Friday and Cornell (6–17, 3–9) Saturday for Senior Day.

W. CREW: Elis achieve a three-peat
The Yale women’s crew ended its fall season with a three-peat victory at the Princeton Chase this past weekend. The Bulldogs’ boats took first, sixth, 13th and 38th place in the women’s varsity eight at Lake Carnegie. This is the third time in a row that the Yale A boat has won the event in Princeton, N.J.
