After the first period, UVM figured out how to bend but not break from defending Yale's forecheck.

Too many shots were either off target or blocked (I'd love to know how many blocked shots UVM got credit for), tight stickwork prevented any cross ice offensive zone passes, and their defense kept everything to the outside.

It didn't help that we couldn't get anything going on the powerplay, some of it due to UVM, some of it due to bad decisions on our part.

UVM played a strong defensive game and got a couple of good bounces in their favor that they took advantage of.

Just a pity it had to happen now. Props for such an awesome season, though, and good luck to UVM.
