On Tuesday, the softball team finally got its chance to play Ivy League rival Cornell in a doubleheader that was postponed after the games slated for Sunday had been rained out. But the games were not worth the wait.
After the five-hour drive to Cornell (23-5, 4-0 Ivy), the Elis (10-14, 1-3) eagerly took the field, but took a close 4-2 loss in their first game and a 12-3 loss in their second.
