Nice to see an article about Bemidji in the Yale Daily News. Well written, accurate information. Thought I add a little more information someone might find interesting. Bemidji is the County Seat of Beltrami County. Belt Co is 2505 sq. miles about half the size of the state of CT. There are approx. 15.8 people per sq. mile. I still have snow in my yard and gas in the snowblower. We do get blizzards in April. Up here, if you stood on one side of the Mississippi and your friend stood on the other side, you could easily hit them in the head with a snowball. (A baseball would be mean) During the winter, many BSU students park their cars on the lake so they don't have pay for a parking permit or walk as far to class. We actually plow roads across the lakes. The tallest building in Bemidji is 12 stories high. The next highest is about 3 stories.
