The Elis are going into a matchup against Columbia, tied with Yale for seventh in the Ivies, with the hopes of earning their first Ivy League win of the season. Although the Bulldogs failed to win on the road, they are back on the offensive track, scoring eight goals against the Seawolves on Wednesday.

Only 13 seconds remaining on the game clock of the first half, attacker Jen DeVito ’14 sent a strong shot into Stony Brook’s goal net with captain Caroline Crow’s ’12 fantastic assist and narrowed down the gap into 5–4. DeVito’s goal count would total four for the game Wednesday. But despite the fierce fight, Stony Brook proved too experience to take down, and the Elis fell 12–8 in New York.
