CROSS COUNTRY | Men finish 2nd, women finish 3rd
The men’s cross country team finished just five points behind the host Big Green at the Dartmouth Invitational. The women finished third in their four-team field.
CROSS COUNTRY | Young to step down
After a long run with Yale athletics, which also included a stint as a U.S. national team assistant at the 2000 Olympics, Mark Young ’68 will retire as Yale’s cross country head coach after the fall season.
TRACK | Elis race at historic meet
On Thursday, a select group of athletes from the men and women’s track teams headed to Philadelphia for the 166th annual Penn Relays, where they shared the track with competitors ranging from high schoolers to professionals, including Olympians Allyson Felix and Usain Bolt.
TRACK | Rain doesn’t damper Yale win
On Saturday, the men’s and women’s track teams faced off against Harvard at Yale’s Dewitt-Cuyler Track for the traditional dual meet. The men’s team beat the Crimson for the eighth consecutive year by a nine-point margin with 86 points total. Though there were many strong performances on the women’s side, the Bulldogs ended the day with 69 points to Harvard’s 93. Both Yale teams finished the meet with a slew of personal records and event wins.

TRACK | Bulldogs excel at Tribe Invitational
This past Saturday, as most Yalies were making plans to return from spring break, the men’s and women’s track teams packed their bags and traveled to Williamsburg, Va., to compete in the Tribe Invitational at William and Mary College. The Bulldogs came off a week of hard training over break to out-run, out-jump and out-throw five other collegiate teams in their season opener.
TRACK | Elis on track for ECACs
The Bulldogs were put to the test this past weekend at the sixth annual Giegengack Invitational at Yale’s Coxe Cage. Although the meet was not scored, the men and women’s track and field teams proved themselves up to the challenge by running, jumping and throwing their way to a slew of personal bests as well as ECAC and IC4A-qualifying times.
W. TRACK | Ready for the real deal
The Yale women’s track team curtailed its winter break early, returning to Yale to compete against 15 other teams at the 28th Intercollegiate Track Classic this past Saturday. The unscored meet, held at Yale’s Coxe Cage, was the second of the season for the Bulldogs and provided a chance for them to test their preparedness as they head into scored meets.

Last Saturday, while many Yalies were still enjoying the break, the men’s track team was up and running. In their first meet after five weeks off, the Bulldogs competed against 15 other teams from the northeast in the 28th annual Yale Intercollegiate Track Classic hosted at Yale’s Coxe Cage.
