It was with the click of a button this spring that I signed up to WWOOF, the World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms. I put a summer internship on hold, read host lists obsessively instead of studying for finals, and set about planning the six-week trip that would take me milking, weeding, and painting across the South of France.
