A bill is circulating through City Hall that would require all patrons of city clubs that hold liquor licenses to be at least 21 years old.

A cigarette in a garbage can started a fire on the first floor of Branford College entryway G around 7 p.m. Thursday evening, according to a firefighter at the scene. No one was injured, and damage was isolated to the one suite and the basement below it.

After a 27-year hiatus, bladderball returned to Yale Saturday afternoon as about 1,000 students chased a six-foot, multi-colored ball through central campus in a frenzy that paralyzed traffic on Elm Street and drew police for crowd control.
