This past weekend, Eli sailors Thomas Barrows ’10, Claire Dennis ’13, Sarah Lihan ’10 and Emily Billing ’13 traveled south to Corpus Christi, Texas, and took the ICSA Singlehanded Championships by storm.
With a first-place finish at the 69th Erwin Schell Trophy at MIT — considered the unofficial fall NEISA championship — the coed sailing team earned a place in the Atlantic Coast Championships (ACCs), to be held Nov. 14-15 in Boston. It was the team’s first victory at the Schell since 1976.
With both Eli sailing teams ranked first in the country, it’s a great time to be a Yale sailor.
